Heart
This is the piece I'm currently working on- bit of a patchwork number.
I began piecing together some small rectangles of fabric that I have in my many containers and thought I could use it in some way as a large picture for the wall.
It's quite big now that it's finished- I've decided to mount it as a heart in a frame. Can't decide what colour to mount it on- white (as pic),navy or ochre/mustard? Hmmm... will have to play around a bit I think.

Felt fun!
Very happy, and more than a little shocked!) to have won a prize in Living etc magazine with my telephone seat- who knew it would go down so well?! Thought I'd dig some of my older creations out to add onto my blog...
Had a little play around with some felt to make a picture for my living room.
After a good hour of rolling admist a load of soap suds- this is the finished article up on the wall.
The other little bits on the wall consist of a random selection of old frames picked up in many a second hand shop, an old piece of embroidery I found in a local junk shop, a couple of postcards and some antique ornaments. It's a bit of a work in progress as I'd like to keep adding to it.
I'm gonna have to invest in a better camera as the photos don't do the colours justice.

Telephone Table
I searched high and low for a table that I liked for my hallway and after many a month searching and trawling both the shops and the internet I decided to get creative! I took myself off to the local charity shop and found this velvet beauty!!
Although I'm loving the velvet trend at the moment this little fella was looking slightly tired and more than a little worse for wear!
SO... after sanding it down, I painted it matt grey and bought some thick grey upholstery fabric and tackled my first ever re-uholstery project! After slaving away, hand sewing my own buttons, I've since learned of many simpler ways of re-coverring buttons that I'll remember for the next project!!
